Priyanka Chopra played hostess at Shahid Kapur's birthday bash

Priyanka Chopra not only attended good friend Shahid Kapur's birthday (February 25) at the lounge bar of a suburban five-star hotel but also played hostess to the hilt. That too in the presence of Shahid's close friends like Vidya Balan and Amrita Rao.

Says a guest present at the party, "Priyanka and Shahid were behaving as a much-in-love couple. In fact, it was as if they were ready to be open about their feelings for each other in front of friends. This from the reserved Shahid and cautious Priyanka surprised the starry guests. The bigger surprise was Priyanka's hamari-bahu-Alka act at the party. She was the official hostess."

The guest further elaborates, "Priyanka had helped Shahid organise the party (including the guest list) and had even turned up early to help him out. She was looking after the guests, and making sure that food and the drinks were circulated properly. In fact, when Shahid went down to see a guest out downstairs and was away for five minutes, Priyanka went down to look for him. They behaved like besotted lovebirds. Priyanka even asked people who wanted to leave, to stay back and party till morning."

However what was noticeable was that Priyanka appeared to be in some discomfort. She was seen wearing a short dress and sporting a bandage on her left leg. However that didn't keep her away from Shahid's party right till the end.

Check Dev Patel in most of the episode on Skins. He now knows what and how to bare. Slumdog Milionaire is not his only brush with acting. Dev Patel made his debut in showbiz on a teen drama show, Skins, which is about a 17-year-old boy's desperate attempt to lose his virginity. He has bared more than his bare-naked butt in the show! In fact, he was running around showing off his butt in many episodes.


Clips of his bare butt were outed on a recent David Letterman Show, and when asked, Dev said, "My mom took me for an open audition in London to this show called Skins. However, little did I know that I would have to be running around the house naked the entire first season!"


Skins is a BAFTA-winning comedic teen drama that follows a group of teenagers from Bristol, England, as they grow up. Now in its third series, the show was created by father and son television writers Bryan Elsley and Jamie Brittain for Company Pictures, and premièred on E4 on 25 January 2007.

Apparently, Sushmita Sen has a steamy scene with her ex-boyfriend Randeep Hooda in Karma Aur Holi directed by Manish Gupta and she wants the producers to delete it. A source close to the film said, "Her problem with the scene stems from the fact that she is not involved with Hooda anymore, now she is in a relationship with Mudassar Aziz."

While Sushmita admitted to Mumbai Mirror that she was in no mood to promote Karma Aur Holi, she denied that she had asked for the steamy scene with Hooda to be deleted. She retorted, "I knew what I was doing in the film and I am not a person to make such stupid demands."

So what is her problem? Sushmita clarified, "My problem is that the makers of Karma Aur Holi are promoting the film by sending out sleazy stories. This is not done. This is just not the way to promote a film. These obnoxious strategies of promoting a film are simply unethical."

She is upset at the shoddy handling of the film, "More importantly, I did a lot for Karma Aur Holi. I went out of the way to ensure that the film gets completed. But the makers are not even ready with the film in all respects.

See the film and you will understand what I am saying. No post-production has been done. Believe it or not, the film is releasing without a lot of needed footage. I am just so angry."

While Madhu Mantena (Head of Film Division of Sa Re Ga Ma) remained unavailable for comment, Sharon Sharma (Distribution Head) countered, "We also did a lot for Sushmita. She wanted the title to be changed from Karma Confessions And Holi to Karma Aur Holi.
