Rocket Singh – Salesman Of The Year is directed by Shimit Amin, who earlier made the super successful Shahrukh Khan starrer 'Chak de India'. Rocket Singh is a Yash Raj product produced by Aditya chopra and is written by Jaideep Sahni. This will be Shimit Amin's second straight Yash Raj film after 'Chak de'.
Rocket Singh introduces newbie Shazahn Padamsee, daughter of advertisement guru Alyque Padamsee to audiences. The film also stars VJ and actress Gauhar Khan and singer/theater personality Sharon Prabhakar. Incidentally, Sharon Prabhakar had earlier worked on the Alyque Padamsee directed Evita in the musical of the same title.
Not much has been revealed about 'Rocket Singh – Salesman Of The Year. According to the official synopsis, Rocket Singh (Ranbir Kapoor) is a salesman who is doing great at his work. The story is about how this salesman slowly becomes a conman and how he starts operating a parallel company within the same company in which he is working without the knowledge of others. Yash Raj Films delivered a bomb in the form of 'Dil Bole Hadippa' last month but the inclusion of Shimit Amin will certainly amount to a better product.
