The Gollapudi Srinivas National award was presented on 12 August at a function in Chennai to filmmaker Paresh Mokashi for his movie Harish Chandrachi Factory (Marathi) by veteran actress Rekha and Oscar award winner Resul Pookutty.
The guests of honor included Rakesh Mehra (director of Rang de Basanti) and Nagesh Kukunoor. Shruthi Haasan, daughter of Kamal Haasan was the master of ceremony.
