Amrita Rao's Role gets chopped in Shortkut

A big chunk of Rao's role gets chopped from Neeraj Vora's Shortkut.
Amrita Rao's attempts to shed her inhibitions along with her clothes in Neeraj Vora's Shortkut The Con Is On seems to have hit a roadblock.

Reason for delay
The film, produced by Anil Kapoor, and starring Akshaye Khanna and Arshad Warsi has the actress in a dare-bare avatar.
She was looking ahead to a change in image but ever since Amrita realised that some of her romantic scenes with Akshaye had been chopped, she has been delaying the long-in-the-making film's dubbing.

Says a source, "Her scenes have been deleted in the interests of the film. As a result, she is extremely upset and has been voicing her disgust to those close to her. She has not expressed her displeasure to producer Anil Kapoor as yet because of his senior stature in the industry."

It is learnt that Amrita has been making careful choices and wants to work with good banners but her strategy seems to be backfiring. She hasn't had many releases of late and being out-of-sight and out-of-mind is proving detrimental to her career.

Adds the source, "As she was banking a lot on Shortkut, it has affected her a great deal. It has turned out to be Akshaye's film.
Director Neeraj Vora maintains, "Shortkut is a story of three characters Akshaye, Amrita and Arshad. Each has a 33 per cent role in it. Amrita has seen the film; she SMSed me saying that she loved it. She has done a great job."
Vora adds that as Amrita was missing from the pre-climax scenes, a special sequence was shot with her recently. "We have added this extra scene in Shortkut," he says.
Was it after Amrita voiced her displeasure about the number of her scenes?
"It was not because of that," Vora maintains.
